500 Casino is free to read because casino operators pay us when readers we send them open an account. This page sets out how that works, so you can weigh what you read with the full picture in front of you. It sits alongside our disclaimer and terms of use and our privacy policy.
Who receives the money
The affiliate agreements behind this site are held by its operator, Ashtrove Studios Limited, Victoria House, 26 Main Street, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. No writer is paid per sign-up, and no operator pays to have a review written or published.
How the commission works
Most links that take you to a casino carry a tracking code. When you click one, register and, in most cases, make a first deposit, the operator records that you came from 500 Casino. Depending on the agreement, we receive either a one-off fee for that new player or a share of the operator's revenue from the account over a period of time. We never see your account, your deposits or your bets. The operator reports only totals to us, and we cannot tell which reader is behind which figure.
What it costs you
Nothing. You pay the same and receive the same welcome offer whether you arrive through our link or type the casino's address yourself. A commission is paid out of the operator's marketing budget, not added to your deposit, and it does not alter the wagering requirements, limits or payout times that apply to you.
Where commercial links appear
- “Visit” and “Play” buttons in casino lists, comparison tables and review boxes;
- links that pass through addresses beginning with
/go/; - the “Where to play” box shown at the side or foot of many pages.
Links to regulators, game studios, payment providers, help services and the sources we quote are ordinary editorial links. Nobody pays for them, and we add them because they help you check what we say.
Ratings and placement
A review score comes from the checks described in how we rate and review: licence and regulator, payout speed and limits, bonus terms worked out in dollars, the game library, Canadian payment methods such as Interac and iDebit, and how support answers a real question. A casino we earn nothing from can score higher than one that pays us, and a partner with weak terms is described as having weak terms.
Commercial agreements can influence which partner appears in a highlighted box, or which one is listed first when several options are equally good for the reader. When that happens, the review text and the score stay exactly as written. We do not accept payment to change a score, remove criticism or hide complaints, and when an operator's terms get worse, the review changes whether or not it is a partner.
Your part
An affiliate link is a door, not a guarantee. Before you sign up, check that the casino accepts players from your province, read its bonus terms and withdrawal rules in full and decide your limits in advance. In Ontario, play only with operators registered with iGaming Ontario. If gambling stops being fun, ConnexOntario answers free and in confidence, 24 hours a day, on 1-866-531-2600.
