Bonus features
Special features attract players to a slot game and keep them playing if they're exciting enough. The bonus round in Hugo 2 is impressive, with some surprises thrown in that boost your chances of winning.
Game Symbols
Hugo 2 is one of the few slot games that doesn't use the standard playing-card deck. These cards are unique, and each one is animated when matched. The troll conductor symbol is the wild card, having the highest value.
If you get three wood-loving beavers, you'll trigger the free spins round. To get to the grand prize mini-game, you'll need to match three evil nemesis symbols. Others include a train whistle and a railroad switch, which have the lowest values.
There’s the hat, mining cart, and skeleton key, which are worth more. Finally, the gold bars, bag, and diamond are the highest valued symbols.
Bonus Rounds & Free Spins
Three matched beavers trigger ten free spins. When this happens, the screen shows the troll on a rail trolley trying to outrun the train. As the reels go into auto spin mode, the little guy jumps between the three tracks and collects various objects.
On one side there are coins and on the other – bags. When all five coin slots are full, the reels are lit with five 2x multipliers. If all the bags are collected, then you get five wilds to earn you extra wins. It's a cute animation that gives players a different experience to the usual spinning reels.
A second bonus round is available when the Afskylia symbol appears in any position on the reels. The challenge is to select the correct key to open the chest of gold for the grand prize.
